21st Amendment Repealed Prohibition 1933

The 21st amendment was an admission of the terrible failure of prohibition, which led to people disrespecting the law and criminals to do well selling illegal alcohol to those that wanted it. Repealing the 18th amendment didn’t make alcohol completely legal through the entire country.

The movement reached its apex in 1920 when Congress ratified the 18th Amendment, prohibiting the manufacture, transportation and sale of intoxicating liquors. … In 1933, widespread public disillusionment led Congress to ratify the 21st Amendment, which  repealed Prohibition.
